Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What caliber rifle should we bring?

A: Anything over a .243 but most importantly, the one you can shoot the best with.

Q: What type of hunting will I be doing?

A: We use a variety of hunting techniques, we have tree stands, ground blinds and we also do lots of spot and stalk hunts. We can basically cater your hunt to the type of hunting you want to do. If you like sitting, we’ll put you in a tree or ground blind near the hot spots. If you enjoy getting after the deer in the hills, we’ll send you out on some spot and stalk missions.

Q: What type of food and lodging is provided?

A: We provide comfortable lodging with soft beds, satellite TV and 3 home cooked meals per day. You won’t leave without having to loosen your belt a notch or two.

Q: What if I come to hunt a mule deer but see a nice whitetail, is my permit good for that?

A: Your permit is good for either species of deer.

Q: Are tags guaranteed and what is the cost?

A: Tags for non-resident hunters are offered after the resident hunters application period is over. You can then go online and buy your permit and print it out on your home printer. The tag cost is $209 and you will also need a $20 habitat stamp which can be purchased with your tag online. www.outdoornebraska.org
